Research Interests

My research is in behavioral ecology and the economics of natural resources, with particular emphasis on commercial fisheries management. Dynamic optimization and game theory arise prominently in these areas. I collaborate with biologists and economists in model construction and application, and have published numerous papers resulting from such collaboration. Working with professionals and students from diverse academic fields has been an inspiring lifetime experience. My books in these areas are standard references and teaching texts
