Biography
Grace T. Pablico is a Filipino citizen who started her research career on tropical seaweeds ecology, physiology and taxonomy at the Marine Science Institute, University of the Philippines. She then worked as part of the FishBase team for more than 10 years–specifically looking at the trophic ecology and international seafood guides tables–before joining the Sea Around Us project in January 2009.
Grace assists the database leader, Dr. Reg Watson, in meeting and delivering the improvement of global datasets related to fisheries science and management, such as catch and effort, as well as works to update and maintain global catch data. She also assists in the development and continued application of spatial allocation and extraction of information within the Sea Around Us databases and provides data assistance to researchers by accessing, summarizing, and presenting information contained in these datasets.
