Policy for Production and Distribution of Fisheries Centre Research Reports (FCRRs)
Budget:
- As of June 2009, the Fisheries Centre no longer requires projects to pay all production and distribution costs for new; a speed chart need only be provided to the Fisheries Centre administrator if extra copies are required beyond those described below.
- The Fisheries Centre will pay copying and binding costs to produce 51 black-ink copies of each new FCRR. Included in this number are: 10 copies for project (editor/author/sponsor, etc.), 9 display copies, 1 Larkin Room copy, 2 copies for Canada Legal Deposit, 1 copy for ASFA indexing, 6 copies for members of FC International Advisory Council, and 24 copies for a group of local, national and international fisheries libraries.
- The FC will also pay for mail or courier delivery of ASFA, IAC, CLD, and library copies. The project is responsible for mailing any of their 10 copies and for production and mailing costs for additional copies.
Distribution:
- An e-mail will be sent announcing publication of each new FCRR to several Fisheries Centre e-mail group lists.
- This e-mail message will include a link to the pdf of the new FCRR which can be found at this page.
- Free copies of each new FCRR will be distributed to a standing order list which includes AFSA, Canada Legal Deposit and some libraries, and to the members of the International Advisory Council.
- Nine copies will be placed in 2nd floor AERL display area and one copy will be retained in Larkin Room library.
