Chiara Piroddi

Biography
Chiara received her Bachelors Degree from the School of Environmental Science, Ca'Foscari University of Venice, Italy in 2004. While she was doing her undergraduate studies, she started collaborating with an NGO named Tethys Research Institute, who specialize in cetacean research and conservation in the central Mediterranean Sea.
Thanks to this collaboration and the supervision of Giovanni Bearzi, President of Tethys, she finished her undergraduate degree with a thesis entitled "An ecosystem approach to the study of common bottlenose dolphins in the Amvrakikos Gulf, Greece".
She came to the Fisheries Centre under the supervision of Dr. Villy Christensen to do a Master thesis on the application of Ecopath with Ecosim, to study two dolphin populations in the Eastern Ionian Sea, Greece.
